Apology 101

At SE2, we often advise our clients about crisis communications -- providing guidance on how to handle a sticky situation or controversial headline. We usually tell our clients that it's best to own up to any mistakes and simply apologize for them. This post from NY Magazine's Daily Intel blog provides some tongue-and-cheek guidance on apologies, developing a framework that seems to work in any industry, whether you're an athlete caught using illegal performance-enhancing drugs or the CEO of a struggling investment company.
