SE2 election pool results after much anticipation and suspense

In a contest that featured entries from politicos, business elites, reporters, and other Colorado movers and shakers, the SE2 election pool came down to a near photo finish, with Tim Jackson, President of the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association, capturing first place over SE2’s Illana Poley. Third place went to Alicia Caldwell of the Denver Post, with Eric Sondermann and Eric Anderson of SE2 rounding out the bottom of the top five.

When asked about his fifth place finish, Eric Anderson held up five fingers, looking for some high-five love. But when left hanging, Anderson looked skyward and quickly stated that “God gave us five fingers for a reason. If we were meant to hold up one finger for a victory, he would have given us only one finger.” There’s nothing like a little divine spin to rationalize failure.

Congratulations to Tim Jackson, whose election pool picks excelled through the SE2 judging panel’s rigorous scoring standards and earned him the grand pool prize of $105 in foldin’ money. And as for Eric Sondermann’s dream of one day finishing ahead of Illana Poley, there’s always next cycle…
